Snow is commonplace for many, many people. For example, I was raised in the NE and we moved to Mississippi from Colorado, so snow is something we are fairly familiar with. However, in Mississippi, let alone central Mississippi, snowfall is a rare event that causes a reaction that would be humorous to those who live in any area where stores actually sell sleds.
That said, when it does snow, no matter where you are, it is beautiful. This morning we had what may well be the only snow we see all season. And while it only lasted a few hours we were able to enjoy a walk through J&J Acres and marvel at the brief beauty. Yes, we had chores to do to protect our new fruit trees and our new rabbit kits, etc., but why show you all that stuff when what is really worthwhile about a homestead is the peace, the quiet, and the happiness you can get from a sparse showing of winter weather.
